My friend has recently started to get fed up because he can no longer start up his copy of Black Ops. It used to work, but one day it just froze at the start screen no matter what. It would get to the point on where it zooms in on the "Activision" logo, then just freeze and go to a black screen.

My game always freezing after the startup and after 30 seconds or so, it just works fine. I guess the reason why is my anti-virus software. Maybe disable yours and check what happens. So recently I have been wanting to play black ops 1 with my friend and whenever I try to select private match the game freezes and I have to force close with task
On the XMB go to game then game data utility, find the two black ops 2 files. One is for the game and the other is for downloaded DLC. What you want to do is delete the one for the game (sorry that I don't know how to tell them apart but if you're willing to redownload the DLC then delete both).
